    Interesting construction method.
Would have expected at the very least some form
of plastic wrap on the exterior walls, and then
    the tar paper
    and then the external covering.

Yes things are different and hotter in Texas
especially when it comes to structure construction.

Glad Canada was able to supply the exterior covering.

    Hi Bryce,

The insulation that will be in those walls is 2lb polyurethane, closed-cell, fire retartant foam (@ R7 per inch!). It is, by code, a vapor and wind barrier. We chose this as it is what we can inject in the other cavaties in walls that we are not opening up. We can also spray the underside of the house with it as well.

The additional plastic wrap would only create possible moisture traps between the two vapor barriers (ie, the plywood) and is not recommended with this insulation.
